FYRE FAQ’s
I heard there was a settlement in the Fyre Festival case, will I get any compensation?
The settlement you likely heard of was in Bankruptcy Court. That settlement is an entirely different case than the civil class action lawsuit. Once the settlement agreement in the bankruptcy case is finalized, we will reach out to those individuals named in the bankruptcy case that will be receiving compensation.
How do I know if I am a part of the civil class action lawsuit?
Our firm (Geragos & Geragos, APC) has reached out to all individuals who we currently represent as members in the Fyre Festival civil class action lawsuit. If you have not heard from us then we currently do not represent you in this litigation.
What is the status of the civil class action lawsuit?
Currently there is a stay (pause) in the civil class action lawsuit as we ask the United State Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit to certify our group of Plaintiffs as a “class.”
When will the civil class action lawsuit be resolved?
These large and complex cases take time and therefore, there is no official timeline for when this case may be resolved. However, we will do our best to keep you apprised of any major updates in the case.
Can I still be added as a plaintiff in the Fyre Festival civil class action lawsuit?
As this case was initiated in 2017, it is now up to the courts discretion if more plaintiffs can be added to the lawsuit. We have created a waitlist to supply to the court with additional plaintiffs if it so chooses. Please contact us at fyrefestival@geragos.com to be added to this waitlist or if you have any additional inquires.
